BUILDING FUND OBLIGATION
All parents have a $5,000 obligation. This requirement begins after a family's first year at YTE. The obligation can be paid at a rate of $1,000 per school year, or $100 per month, added to each family's tuition bill.
FINANCIAL AID
It is at the core of our mission to provide a quality Jewish education to every child who enters our doors, regardless of a family’s financial circumstances.
Yeshiva Torat Emet has crafted policies and procedures that ensure maximum discretion, privacy and equality. Every year these policies and procedures are updated and revised to ensure that YTE continues to model best practices.
Applications to YTE are accepted for admission on a “need-blind” basis. In other words, applying for tuition assistance will not affect the school’s acceptance of a student. Families who are interested in applying for a tuition subsidy must complete a FACTS application, which can be found at https://online.factsmgt.com/aid.
Tuition assistance is awarded for one school year only and families must re-apply every year. Once all the components of a family’s application have been submitted online to FACTS, the Tuition Assistance Committee considers whether a family meets the criteria for assistance and determines the degree of financial support required. The members of this committee are discreet and sensitive in their handing of these matters. The tuition committee can be reached directly at tuition@ytehouston.org.
GIVE/GET
Paying tuition is challenging for many families, and YTE does its best to offer tuition assistance whenever possible. In order to maximize the financial aid available, and to develop a culture of giving among our parent body, we promote a program called the Give/Get program.
Each year, all families receiving tuition assistance have the option to increase their financial aid by committing to help fundraise $1,000 or donate $1,000 worth of needed services (or a combination of both) by the end of the school year. Families can choose to opt out of the Give/Get program and set up a payment plan to pay the $1,000 instead.
